Cranebrook.

Cranebrook is a peaceful, mostly residential suburb in Greater Western Sydney, ideal for those who like their lifestyle relaxed but well-connected. Just north of Penrith, it’s known as a family-friendly spot where leafy streets, local schools and wide open green spaces make everyday living easy and enjoyable. 

Hills and views are part of Cranebrook’s appeal. Homes on the west side look out over the Nepean River and the Blue Mountains, while the east overlooks the former ADI site, a bushland haven filled with kangaroos, native birds and Cumberland Woodland. 

The name comes with a bit of history too. Back in 1804, pioneer farmer James McCarthy was granted 100 acres here and called it “Crane Brook Farm,” inspired by the flocks of cranes that once roamed the area. That rural charm still remains today, even as the suburb continues to  grown. 

The housing mix is mostly brick veneer and modern family homes, giving the suburb a classic suburban feel. Everyday essentials are all close by thanks to Cranebrook Village, with Woolworths, Aldi and specialty shops, while Penrith CBD is just a short drive for more dining, shopping and transport options.
